For over 400 years the Spanish American, Who was the first immigrant to set foot on what was to become the United States of America, has struggled to get to where we are today and it has taken the mexican illegals just a few years to destroy our Nationality, our Heritage and our Language. We the Spanish Americans are the real hispanics in America. Yet today the Federal and State Government, the news media the legal system and the catholic church call the mexican illegals—-Hispanics. Every time a mexican illegal breaks the law and is arrested, the legal system and the news media reports that he’s a hispanic from Denver and speaks only spanish. When in fact, he’s a mexican illegal that can’t speak spanish or english. That allows the mexican illegal to hide behind the spanish american which serves to demoralize and discriminate against the spanish american. The mexican illegals are not hispanic, they are latinos who come from a latin country or by law they are simply mexican illegals that speak only mexican. They do not speak spanish. Spanish and mexican is as different as summer is from winter. The Spanish American is born AMERICAN and speaks “ENGLISH ONLY", It’s the AMERICAN WAY. Polly Baca, Executive Director of Denver based Latin American Research and Service Agency, Janet Murguia Executive Director of La Raza Unida and the Mexican Illegals are the biggest threat to the Spanish American in this country. Polly Baca says that Colorado should focus on providing health services and education to all residents, regardless of language or citizenship status. So where has Polly Baca been, the mexican illegal is getting the best health care and education that money can buy, putting a strain on health care and other public services. The American Citizen should be that fortunate. Polly Baca claims that immigrants are a major part of our future and current labor force, but she doesn’t mention the three million americans that are out of work due to her favorite and protected mexican illegal.

I thought Mexico was conlonized by the Spanish (and the French).

defending the right to all Americans born here and who came here " legally" and that contribute to society as a whole not live on welfare and ship our hard earned tax dollars to their country of origin as well as getting the best education and medical that money can buy. I am fed up with the governments giving support to criminals who are in this country illegally , i work hard for my money and i pay an ass load of money for insurance to care for my family and I. i will not stand any longer to have some illegal trash be taken better care of than me or my family as i am Native American and Irish decent and all of my family that immigrated here came here legally and assimilated and integrated into society , paid their taxes and so on ...

get with the program , get the illegals out of America, love this country or get out , learn the language or get out , respect our society or get out . pay your taxes or get out ...

i am not a racist by any means , i have friends and family of all races and cultures , i am against illegal nationals being in my country undocumented and living off of my tax dollars that i have worked so hard for

To add a missed point however. There are many Mexicans that have come here legally. It is a generation ago. They did come to be American Citizens. To contribute to this country. Many following in the footsteps of the Tejones who faught for liberty from oppresion at the Alamo and Texas indipendance. many who faught in the Mexican American war. One that I REMIND PEOPLE THE UNITED STATES WON!!!!

the problem today is that those coming here , a vast majority only want handouts and are protected by thier government and ours who allows them to disregaurd our laws and litterally get away with MURDER.

I understood exactly who Mr. Gomez was defending, and his basic point is good.
I am VERY much against illegal immigration. My wife is a legal immigrant and a great friend is going for her citizenship test very soon. (I myself am quite white and native-born).
I just think Gomez was condenscending and insulting to Mexico and Mexicans, whether they live here (legally or illegally) or in Mexico.

The first Spanish landed and then mostly boogied, therefore hardly qualifying as the "irst immigrants. This nation is Englands child, plain and simple. English colonists made it happen, thank God.
Illegal Mexicans need to be deported, along with their illigitimate anchor babies.

I hear ya, too bad our leaders don't. Couldn't agree with you more. We are sick and tired of ILLEGALS getting the breaks. They are lawbreakers the minute they sneak into this country.

Antonio, well said. Polly Baca and her ilk are part of a racist Mexican movement. If they wore pointed hats and sheets, people would understand them for what they are. Americans of all ethnic and racial backgrounds must unite against the invasion of illegal aliens living off the fruits of our labor and sacrifice.

Vote out Ken Salazar and his brother John Salazar...they are turncoats!!! Along with many other Denver leaders!!

Do some research and find out who loves the illegals in Denver and Washington D.C.

Google the voting records of our politicians. You will be amazed at who voted for what!
Above all get informed. Politicians hate an informed population, their dirty deeds would then be exposed and dealt with accordingly!!!

Actually before the first Spanish expidition reached the Americas (led by an Italian), the following people came here first. American Indian (apx 18,000 years before Spain), Irish (apx 800 years before Spain), and Norse (apx 500 years). In addition, there is evidence the Chinese and West African's reached the "new world" decades before Spain.
