Aurora incumbents should be voted out
Once again, Aurora is facing another city election. In this matter, the incumbents, especially Ed Tauer and Ryan Frazier should be replaced.
Tauer recently cast the deciding vote that allowed the city to keep in place its surcharges for water usage that seem to really stick it to longtime residents (showing no mercy to Aurora’s senior citizens). This took place as the city continues to issue permits for the apparently endless building and development projects in our already parched community.
Frazier notes his priorities include “water acquisition and development through the nearly $1 billion Prairie Waters Project” and a host of new development without a word about responsible growth.
He talks about “a business climate that allows greater job creation” but never mentions whether these jobs will offer a living wage and decent benefits such as health care.
Aurora needs to attract good employers not more businesses that offer low wages and add to the ranks of the city’s working poor.
As the citizens of Aurora vote this fall, it’s time to give Tauer and Frazier their walking papers.
Thomas Johnson, Aurora
RUBBER STAMP: Aurora City Council. I agree with Thomas. However, Ed Tauer and the whole city council should be sent packing. Tauer and this posse are guilty of excluding of black disabled Vietnam veterans from their employment and contrracting opportunities. They are collectively guilty of placing economic "nooses" on black vets and their families. The recent discrimination lawsuit filed by a black Aurora detective, is just a symptom of a racist diease, that exists and persists throughout all Aurora city gov't.. I applied for their fire chief's job, and Tauer and his gutless and racist posse, unleashed WMD on my 10 point DHS/FEMA employment preference. I didn't meet Tauer or any of the Auora city council mebrs during my 3 deployments to Vietnam. Please flush at the polls Aurora.
Is Tauer LDS? He is chairman Fitzsimons (Mormon cash cow) Redevelopment Commission. Tauer's posse members (BoPeep, Owens, Brimhall, Shore, FitzGerald, Groff, K. Salazar, Cason, etc.), gave all of the contracts and jobs in this federal funded project, to business owners who are LDS members. They are collectively guilty of federal funds fraud, waste, abuse, and RICO violations (CFR-29/41, FAR, and USDOL-OFCCP). Ed Tauer is just like his old man, he works very well when there is federal or state fiscal oversight, or stewardship being done.
Tauer has blackballed, blacklisted, and red-lined me from all financial opportunites, wherever he "rules". I will be even more PO'ed if I find that my "blood-loot" made it to Billie Mae Owens (draftdodger) and Mitt's (draftdodger and LDS freak-a-zoid) prez campaign coffers. I only wish Denver Deputy USAG Troy Eid and USDOL-OFCCP Secy. Chao had some backbone. They should be prosecuting Tauer and both of his posse's for massive fraud and intern them at SuperMax, Canon City, CO. Our Truth Police members like Andrews, Caplis, Schaffer, Newman, and Rosen, should investigate these Jim Crow thugs.

If I give you 40 acres and a mule, would you shut the hell up and leave?
I doubt it.

Maybe someone wishes you would shut the hell up and leave Republican Guy.
Posted by A on November 1, 2007 01:13 PMI couldn't agree more with Thomas. It's time to send each and every member of the city council packing, and don't forget the mayor. Once someone becomes involved in politics, it's very hard to get them out. These same people who decided to come up with a confusing water rate system, and decided to allow all of south Aurora to be devoured by construction and the building of homes that will probably be foreclosed on one day, might decide that they want to be more than just your city council representative. They might decide to run for the state senate, or house, or jump into the national arena. It's time to get rid of this council now before they become to comfortable with making poor decisions for the city. It's time to vote for a group who cares about doing what's best for all of the city, not just the areas where the "homes starting from the low 400s" signs are at.
