OK ,chuckle, chuckle, so Dennis Kucinich thinks there could be UFOs..Ask any theologian, and they will tell you that there is no empirical proof for the existence of God. That means all of us who believe in God believe in something that we can’t irrefutably prove. So how about expending some of your ink and print space on the Congressman’s voting record? When presented with the factually unsupported claim of WMD and Al-Qaida networks in Iraq, he voted not to go to war over alarmist fantasy .He consistently voted not to continue funding a war that has been executed badly and cost thousands of (notoriously under supplied and protected) American soldiers their lives while billions have gone to fraud, graft , and corruption and dubious “allies". Kucinich has voted to protect the civil liberties of American citizens and to maintain the checks and balances in our system of government .All the other candidates in the race have voted for the war, for its continuation, for unduly invasive governmental powers and an unprecedented accretion of presidential powers at the expense of the powers of congress (your representatives folks...to diminish their relevance is to diminish your relevance. ) Now when the spotlight shines on their voting records they fudge, hedge and equivocate. They all claim to have been misled on the intelligence , but none of them in their brilliant hindsight have attempted to correct the error, they have continued to hand over American lives and treasure to this monstrous war ; they have continued to hand increasing powers to the chief executive’s office...an office that they are now seeking to occupy .Do the math.
It’s both astounding and appalling that the Congressman can’t get the press’s attention for his voting record, but gets pounced on over this bit of nonsense. When it comes to the issues that matter most in this election, he’s shown a level head. The other candidates have shown self interest and opportunism .I personally find that more alienating than...aliens.

Maybe he can't get the press' attention because of his gay name.Posted by on November 9, 2007 02:28 PM
Yep, it's a good example of how trivial the press in this country has become. I have personally seen a UFO, and quite a sight it was. Like Kucinich, I did NOT say I saw an alien vessel or extraterrestrial craft; I saw a bright object moving low and erratically over mountains shortly after sunset, in a trajectory and pattern of movement that did not conform to any other airborne object I've seen in many, many years of traveling the open spaces of the west. Since at least a couple hundred other people in the area reported the object as well, I know it wasn't my imagination, and no explanation was ever given. Simply put, I saw a UFO, just as Kucinich and many others have. No little green men, no cause for hack editors to exploit the story, but sensationalism is so much easier than reporting news...Posted by on November 9, 2007 02:50 PM
Kucinich is the only true choice. He is the only one that can beat Bush in 2008. I'm sorry, like It's True, I forgot that Bush can't run in 08. How really stupid of me to bring it up.Posted by on November 9, 2007 02:56 PM
There's nothing wrong with believing in UFO's, unless of course, you believe they came from outer space.
And Kucinich is not only Democatic presidential candidate who voted not to swallow Bush's bullshit.
If Kucinich is elected his wife would be a FLILF!Posted by on November 9, 2007 03:10 PM
2:56, yes that was stupid. We're not talking about electability, we're talking about fitness to be President.Posted by It's True on November 9, 2007 03:32 PM
What's wrong with believing in Aliens (from outer space I mean). After all, people believe in God with no empirical evidence and millions go/give to churches, synagogues, temples and mosques. I, for one, find that there is no less proof for the existence of Aliens than there is for God.Posted by milou on November 9, 2007 04:12 PM
Sorry, you brought up Bush. I thought maybe you thought he was running. So you point that Bush can only look at pictures has what to do with Kucinich?Posted by on November 9, 2007 04:41 PM
4:41, if an illiterate imbecil that doesn't realize when we're under attack is fit to serve as President, why isn't someone who thinks they saw a UFO fit to serve as President?Posted by It's True on November 9, 2007 04:50 PM
I'm sure Dennis would have know about an attack because of the transmitter that the aliens installed in his brain.
Keep your focus on Bush. Believe what you want he got better grades than Gore. Please please throw your support behind Kucinich. He can win and he is qualified really. Spend you time, money and efforts so that he gets the nomination. Please. Hell, I'll stuff envelopes for you.
Slaming Bush takes so much creativity and deep thought. It has become the "word association test for the left" I'll say a word and you say back "Bush is stupid" I'll say another word and you say "Bush is stupid" wow this is fun.Posted by on November 9, 2007 05:03 PM

Put Impeachment ON The Table of the House Judiciary Committee
This week Dennis Kucinich led an heroic effort to put the impeachment of Dick Cheney ON the table by requesting a floor vote on H.Res. 333. As expected, BushDemocrat Steny Hoyer moved to table the bill. And then all hell broke loose as 165 Republicans voted with Kucinich and 85 brave Democrats to force a debate on impeachment over the objections of Nancy Pelosi. To block that debate, Hoyer moved to send H.Res. 333 back to the Judiciary Committee, and this motion passed. Watch David Swanson explain the events to Paul Jay of The Real News .
So what do we do next to move impeachment forward?
1. Email all of the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee:
and call them:
All you have to do is remind them and they're off to the races.
Keep the faith Democrate Basers - you can still nail Bush if you go the full court press but, don't delay.
Remember your motto:
What do We Want? Justice!!!
When Do We Want It? Now!!!
Get behind DK and let your voices ring out - show America what you're all about.Posted by James Jones on November 11, 2007 05:53 AM
All I know is that Dennis [the Menace] Kucinich gets an "F" from the NRA and Dick Chaney gets an "A" from the NRA.That's all I need to know about which one is the TRUE American.Posted by An American on November 11, 2007 09:37 AM
JVB is the same guy that is trying to take away Keith's freedom of speech on another posting.Isn't it funny that the same Democrats that are after Bush and Chaney are the same Democrats that do not believe in our First and Second Amendments.Oh I forgot they are the same Democrats that will defend every right of illegal aliens and terrorists even rights they do not have. This is the NEW Democrat party!!!Posted by An American on November 11, 2007 09:51 AM

Queef and Spanky just can't get over the fact that Bushie took us to war on false pretenses. He knew the evidence for WMD's was flimsy at best but he wanted to go to war as part of the Neo-Con disaster plan. These fools have been wrong about everything and should be held accountable. Of course, Queef and Sppanky can't get their heads out of their rear ends long enough to see what's been going on.Posted by Hot Diggity Dog on November 12, 2007 09:06 AM
An American is reallys stupid. If I were to reveal who I am, he'd know he is stupid. I will reveal only that I am not a member of any party. In the language of Keith: Go home and f ***your c***t. You p****. Your stupidity is such an annoyance.Posted by JVB on November 12, 2007 09:13 AM
As usual Democrat "just sayin" got his facts wrong. The armor piercing bullets that the Democrats wanted to ban would include high powered hunting ammo that is used to hunt deer. There are no "plastic" guns. The guns Democrats wanted to ban had a lot of plastic parts but also had metal parts. They would still show up in on airport xrays. It was a Democrat lie to ban guns.In fact just recently Ted Kennedy tried to ban hunting ammo again.Just Sayin probably does not know that almost all big game hunting ammo will go through a police officer's bullet proof vest.Does he want to ban all your hunting ammo? You bet.I thank God we have people like Chaney that will stand up to the Democrats that want to ban all guns.Posted by An American on November 12, 2007 02:18 PM
The SWIFT BOATING OF KUCINICH BY BOTH THE PRESS AND MAINSTREAM DEMOCRATS MUST STOP
Kucinich is the only presidential candidate to take a position to Protect The Constitution And The Separation Of Powers from the likes of Cheney and Bush. He is the only Democratic candidate with a consistent progressive voting record.
Kucinich voted against the Iraq War and against continuing it. His successful defence of his resolution (H Res 333) to Impeach Cheney was powerful. He got press attention for it, got help from Republican Representatives and put ALL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN ( ones voting to kill it) ON RECORD AS NOT WANTING TO PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION. It was a Win For Impeachment of Cheney. The bill ( now "H Res 799") is still alive in the House Judiciary Committee AND Kucinich's efforts galvanized thousands of Impeachment Activists like US all across America who are now working to tell all US Congressmen/women (especially Democrats) "NO Money. NO Votes and NO Volunteering For You Until You Support Protecting The US Constitution against Bush and Cheney by at least debating Impeachment of Cheney on the floor of the House in this session.
