DIA wait times OK
Tuesday, November 13 at 12:01 AM

I am writing to express my dismay at The Associated Press story about the alleged delays at DIA at the security checkpoint (“Colorado delegation calls DIA wait times ‘unacceptable,’” Nov. 1).

I fly out of and into DIA from one to three times each month on business and the wait times in DIA are favorable when compared to many other major airports.

I appreciate the courtesy and diligence of the TSA screeners and all of the vendors in the terminal and always look forward to utilizing DIA.
Perhaps those who complain have nothing better to do than complain. If they hate DIA, try Phoenix. They’ll change their tune quickly.

I'm very glad that you fine the indignity of standing in your stocking feet like a terrorist suspect to be acceptable. This display of window dressing seems to have placated you. You have given up your freedoms, not for security, but for the gossamer illusion of security.

Really bad people will come up with imaginative ways to kill you that you cannot conceive. When you realize that the bomb that brings your plane down came onto the plane in the food cart, you may be on the way to understanding the stage show that the TSA is putting on.

Oh the humility of having to remove your shoes. Ok Clyde, Mr. Civil Liberties expert, what exact rights have been given up?

If really bad people want you dead bad enough, no measure of security will ever be enough. Ask JFK, ask Reagan.

Rather than whine about how badly things are being done, what's your solution? Baring in mind the ripple effect on cost and "time". PS doing nothing isn't a solution.

the tsa is nothing more than a feel good program the government cam up with. it is a shell game and they all try to look so important going through grandma's hand bag.
I fly weekly and sometimes more out of dia and it is the slowest and most inefficent place to fly from.
here is a personal example of how they, tsa, really have not a clue of what they are looking for.
while working in Chicago I bought a can of butane for my lighter and left it in my brief case by accident. I didnt notice it till I returned to Chicago the next week and it wasnt in my desk. but in my brief case in a side pocket. It was there as it was alomost empty and I had planned on getting rid of it but forgot. so to see how long I could go with it I just left it there. that was in August of 05, and with the change of work locations to huntsville Alabama it was in Feb 06 that someone in alabama told me I couldnt fly with it. I gladly gave it to them and said I was sorry and forgot to leave it at home in Denver.
I smoke and always carry a lighter with me and even get on the planes as I never take it out of my pocket.
yep the tsa sure make me feel wonderful when they take a toothpaste tube as it is too big but let baby bottles full of liquid go through.

When one of my employees complains about something, the first thing I do is ask them, "What is your proposed solution to the problem?"

If they don't have any idea about how to fix things, I tell them to get out and not come back until they come up with a solution.

It's easy to gripe and moan -- but it takes intelligence and creativity to come up with ideas that work.

TSA is doing the best they can with what they have. This Thanksgiving holiday, more than 27 million passengers will take to the skies over America.

That's nearly 10 percent of the entire US population (of 330 million).

YOU think it's easy? Then fix it!

Oh, the pain and indignity. I have been insulted by an anonymous asshole.
