It's not puppy love

It's hard to believe someone interested in getting a dog would turn to a puppy mill when so many shelters have so many great dogs who need a good home.
Most folks think they're buying from a reputable breeder, but some actually operate puppy mills, where exausted dogs turn out one litter after another.
A Denver lawmaker plans to introduce a bill to strengthen puppy mill regulations in Colorado. The bill would cap the number of breeding dogs allowed at a facility, which will help prevent the worst abuses at puppy.
Rep. Beth McCann will hold a news conference on the west steps of the Capitol at 11:30 a.m. today.
