It's official: She's Rep. Nikkel

Colorado's newest lawmaker was sworn into office today in front of family and friends.
B.J. Nikkel, a Loveland Republican, took the oath of office in the House before the session convened at 9 a.m.
The ceremony started with some humor from Speaker Terrance Carroll.
"Please raise your hand and repeat after me - and hopefully we only have to do this once," Carroll said.
Nikkel was appointed to the seat that used to be held by Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud, who was appointed to the Senate.
Nikkel was the district director for U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, who lost her re-election bid.
BTW, the official secretary of state certification of Nikkel's appointment revealed what those initials stand for: Betty June. She was name for two aunts.
Only the family calls her Betty June these days, everyone else knows here by B.J.
