Madden returns to the Capitol
Gov. Bill Ritter has appointed former House Majority Leader Alice Madden as Colorado's new climate change coordinator.
The appointment of the Boulder Democrat received high praise from former GOP Gov. Bill Owens' chief of staff, Roy Palmer.
"Alice Madden has a well-developed reputation as a fair and reasonable legislator," he said, in a news release announcing the post. "We're sure she'll bring those same skills to bear on the issue of climate change."
Palmer is Xcel Energy's managing director for government and regulatory affairs.
The $80,000 position is funded through private grants from the Hewlett, Denver and Energy foundations.

So private grants now buy your way into the legislature?
What makes her different than all the other lobbyist that are the bane of our govenment?

Just what is a "Climate Change Co-ordinator"?
Does she make sure the change is "smooth", or
figure out ways to make the consumers pay more in taxes and fees and higher energy prices?

How many more years of falling average temperatures (to go with the past two) will it take before we have to start worrying about how to warm things up? I guess we are near that point when the Gov calls it "climate change coordinator" rather than Global Warming coordinator.
This is not about weather. It's about control over your life.

What a relief!
I don't know how we ever managed to survive so long without someone to coordinate our climate changes.
