'This is Hickenlooper's fault'

Sen. Greg Brophy said first Democrats killed his bills, and then one stole his bike.
How's that again?
The Wray Republican said he rode his bike to downtown Denver last night and cabled it. Someone took it.
His mountain bike?
"That would have been a disaster," the avid biker said. "No, I lost my beater bike, which just chaps me to no end."
He doesn't know who took it, but is certain the thief is a Democrat because Denver's full of Democrats.
"This is Hickenlooper's fault," Brophy said, referring to Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. "I bet whoever took my bike voted for Obama."
Uh, Sen. Brophy, Republicans voted for Barack Obama. Change and all that. Remember?

Sounds like "voted for Obama" is now racist code for "a black guy". What a loon.

Brophy is definitely not trying to get a job done in the Senate. He's playing the Us vs. Them game and blaming all who oppose him. I'll remember his name now that it has been in the news.

This guy is a Colorado State Senator? Blaming Hickenlooper for getting his bike stolen is like me blaming Ronald McDonald for getting a bad hamburger.

This guy looks like he is missing some genetic material and now his comments are adding to my suspicions. How closely related were your parents Brophy? Holy tin foil hats Batman! I would wonder about his supporters’ ability to read anything other than an R next to his name. His hood and sheet must have been on the bike.

Dudes, lighten up! How about Brophy was wisecracking and a reported thought it would be cute to write it up. After all, legislators are real people; they don't have to be serious policy geeks 24/7.
