'Urban tumbleweeds' under attack
Two Denver Democrats on Sunday will unveil their proposal to do something about the thousands of plastic grocery bags distributed across Colorado.
"Far too often, these bags end up in landfills, across our landscape, or even in our lakes, streams and oceans," Senate Dems said in a press release.
Sen. Jennifer Veiga and Rep. Joe Miklosi .at 3 p.m. Sunday will discuss their bill to phase out plastic shopping bags in Colorado. Their news conference will be held on the west steps of the state Capitol.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
