Senator's remarks on gay bill called 'bigoted'

A conservative blogger says the Republican Party should condemn Sen. Scott Renfroe's comments linking homosexuality with murder.
Ari Armstrong says the Greeley Republican's remarks are why the GOP is in the minority and are a violation of church and state.
Renfroe made a number of religious references when he addressed the Senate Monday during debate on a bill that would extend health care benefits for the partners of gay and lesbian state workers. The measure passed.
He quoted Leviticus 18:22, which says "You shall not lie with a man as one lies with a female. It is an abomination" and Leviticus 20:13, which says, "If there is a man who lies with a male as though to lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act, and they shall surely be put to death."
Armstrong, who sometimes writes for the Independence Institute, wrote that Renfroe "explicitly calls for the laws of Colorado to be based on Old Testament scripture."
"This, obviously, violates the separation of church and state," Armstrong wrote. "The proper purpose of government is to protect individual rights, not enforce religious dogma, whether or not the majority agrees with it. Murder and theft are properly illegal because they violate individual rights. Homosexuality between consenting adults does not."
Several GOP lawmakers have privately expressed dismay over Renfroe's comments. Armstrong said Renfroe should resign.for his "bigoted remarks."

I would like to know who those unname cowardly republican are, that agreed with the intolerant Anti Christians biogts that freaked out because a Real Republican had not fear of there national machine to back door and pass home homosexual marriage over the majority. They tried that in california with the courts and setting aside a prop 22 that we put in the consitution. This gang of queers want stop with this, so get your state congress to pass a citzen prop law. This will show you how many homosexual supporter are there. So you can determine what action to take.

As for me I hope the republican party finds these liberals who feel A senator has no right to disagree with preversions. Because republican acting like democrats have not learn that borrown and spend and fill a education system with illegal aliens that has dumb down all education to there levels. Is why we keep loosing. They have no problem standing up to us on what they demand, so Senator Renfroe you are a real republican that I respect. I never vote for Moderates, like McCain, we knew his view on Amnesty, and still the mind dead public elected a man they know nothing about, accept he must have agreed with all his Friends in Illionis who hates America and still is fighting the public request to show a legal birth certificate. He has a army of lawyer blocking law suits for a simple viewing of a legal document not a Hawaii certificate of brith that any illegal and get in the world.
