Surgery postponed on top toque Tyler
Elway's executive chef Tyler Wiard, who was engaged in an ankle mangle Thursday night when he fell on some outside steps at a friend's house, was supposed to have had surgery to mend the limb on Friday. When he got to the doc, however, it was determined that the ankle was too swollen. I talked to Tyler Monday afternoon before his scheduled surgery at 4 that day.
The accident couldn't have happened at a worse time since Elway's is in the throes of Denver Restaurant Week. Chef de cuisine Cory Treadway will take up the tongs as head chef while Wiard convalesces. Send Wiard get-well wishes to tyler@elways.com.
