Denver Union Station group holding picnic on Thursday

The non-profit Union Station Advocates is holding a picnic for its members, and wannabe members, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Denver's Cuernava Park.
The group, concerned with the public spaces around the $1 billion-plus redevelopment surrounding the historic Denver Union Station, currently has more than 100 members. It is co-chaired by historic preservationist Dana Crawford and long-timer business leader Luke O'Kelley.
The cost of the picnic is $10 for members. But non-members who join by Thursday, will get free admission to the picnic with a new membership.
The picinic will feature food from Brothers BBQ, as well as wine, beer and music.
To get to City of Cuernavaca Park: From LoDo or the Riverfront Park area of the Central Platte Valley, go to the Denver SkatePark at 19th and Little Raven streets, cross the bridge, and turn right onto Rockmont Drive. The park will be on your right.
From 15th Street, turn on Platte Street, go past the Highland Bridge and keep going until you get to the park. At 19th Street, Platte Street turns into Rockmont Drive.
