Steve Rahe joins Grubb & Ellis
Steve Rahe, whose has been selling apartments at CB Richard Ellis for more than two decades, has joined competitor Grubb & Ellis.
"After 23 years, it was time for a change," Rahe told me.
He noted that after CB merged with Trammell Crow, a very large company became even larger.
"When I started this business, it was a lot simpler," Rahe explained."It has gotten to be very complicated. It it does not need to be. So, now, at Grubb & Ellis, I will do whatever ever I can to simplify. I wanted to continue to specialize in selling multi-family, because I love the business."
He notes he will be working with long-time investment broker Tom Wanber at Grubb, whom he has known for years.
"There are a lot of good, fun guys at Grubb & Ellis," Rahe said.
Mark Ballenger, the manager of the Denver Grubb Ellis, who also was with CB for years, approached Rahe a while ago, but at the time Rahe wasn't interested in jumping ship.
"Over the next nine months, we continued to talk on and off, and I finally decided it was a real smart idea," Rahe said.
