Holliday on DL; Lineup Update

LF Matt Holliday is on the disabled list with a strained hamstring, the third member of the Opening Day lineup to be on the disabled list, and one of five members of that lineup who is currently sidelined.

Holliday joins Opening Day SS Troy Tulowitzki (torn tendon, left quadriceps) and RF Brad Hawpe (hamstring) on the disabled list along with SS Clint Barmes (sprained right knee), who had emerged as the regular second baseman before moving to shortstop with Tulowitzki was hurt. 3B Garrett Atkins (stiff neck) and CF Willy Taveras (bruised right knee) are both on the active roster, but neither is in the lineup Sunday.

OF Cory Sullivan was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, the day after OF Seth Smith and 3B Ian Stewart were called up. Earlier, the Rockies called up INFs Jonathan Herrera and Omar Quintanilla.

Manager Clint Hurdle said he wasn't sure of the severity of Holliday's injury, but Holliday will not initially go on the Rockies upcoming road trip to Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles. He will remain in Colorado, where he can receive more focused treatement because of the facilities at Coors Field.

Triple-A Colorado Springs 1B Joe Koshansky hit for the cycle Saturday, picking up the triple in his final at-bat. It was the fourth cycle in SkySox history, the first since Seth Smith last August. ... RHP Darren Clarke was added to the Double-A Tulsa roster. He had been in extended spring training.
