Tulo sighting, June 2
SS Troy Tulowitzki is still on the disabled list, but he joined the team at Dodger Stadium on Monday.
Injured players rarely travel with the Rockies. The team feels it has better facilities at Coors Field for rehab work. Tulowitzki, however, spent the past week working out at Coors Field and has come along quickly enough in his recovery from a torn tendon in his left quadriceps that the Rockies decided to have him join the team for the three games against the Dodgers.
He won't be in the lineup, though. Omar Quintanilla remains the Rockies shortstop with Tulowitzki and Clint Barmes on the disabled list.
After going with a strong left-handed presence in the lineup Sunday, manager Clint Hurdle returned CF Willy Taveras and LF Ryan Spilborghs to the starting alignment Monday. Spilborghs has responded well to treatment for a severe left wrist bruise suffered when he was hit by a pitch from the Cubs' Ryan Dempster on Saturday.
