Stewart scratched
Ian Stewart was a scratched from the lineup Thursday. He strained his right biceps.
With the Chicago White Sox at Hi Corbett Field today the Rockies are taking advantage of using the DH. The White Sox prefer that because as an AL team their pitchers do not hit in games - other than inter-league play in NL parks - during the season.
That also allows manager Clint Hurdle to get some extra at-bats for position players. Jeff Baker drew the DH start on Thursday. The Rockies had a starting lineup that did not include any of their projected regular-season starts, although CF Carlos Gonzalez is in the mix for a roster spot.
The White Sox lineup include 3B Dayan Viciedo in his debut. Viciedo is the latest Cuban defector to sign with the White Sox.
The Lineups:

LF Scott Podsednik
3B Christian Colonel
