Helton sits spring opener
The Rockies are taking it slow with Todd Helton this spring. He is not in the lineup for today's spring opener, but it's by design.
Coming off back surgery, Helton is going to be brought along slowly this spring. The Rockies want to make sure that Helton is ready for the start of the regular season April 6 at Arizona. Helton is the only member of the projected Opening Day lineup who won't start against Arizona in today's game at Hi Corbett Field.
The 1:05 p.m., game will be broadcast on KOA-AM (850).
