Police: Most shocking details yet to come in Thompson case
he charges in a 60-count indictment of Aaron Thompson allege that he and his late wife Sheley abused Thompson's daughter Aarone to death and harmed other children in their home, report Jeff Kass and Chris Barge.
But authorities say the most shocking allegations are yet to come.
"The stuff that I could tell you is so compelling that I can't tell you," Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates, who like others involved in the case is under a court order to not provide details, said after one of many press gatherings Thursday.Aarone's mother cut through the allegations and legal developments Thursday with a desperate plea to recover her daughter's body, which has yet to be found.
"They need to find her body so they can do an autopsy on her," said Lynette Thompson, who lives in Detroit. "I want her no matter what - whether she's in bones, an eyeball . . . a hair."
Aarone would have been 6 when her father reported her missing Nov. 14, 2005. Three days later, Aurora police called off a search and said Aarone had been killed up to 18 months earlier.
Rocky legal analyst Scott Robinson says the charges don't reveal much about the case
Why not first-degree murder? Even now, do the authorities and grand jurors know what actually happened to Aarone Thompson, or not?Even after the release yesterday of a 60-count indictment in the case, there are far more questions than answers in an investigation that dates back to mid-November 2005, and which may involve a homicide committed as long ago as May 2004.

Gosh, only in Denver could the police have waited so LOOONG to make the obvious arrest. Geez, in must be because those police in the People's Republic of Denver don't like prosecuting criminals.

Gee Ben, have you not noticed how strictly the police have prosecuted the "reverend" Acen Phillips about the whole tax/insurance/embezzelment scam he's been running.
Well, niether have I. Wonderful thing to be an illegal or a minority in this state, so you can choose what laws you choose to obey (or not)

Hmm - 60 counts based on hearsay and circumstantial evidence (it appears at first blush) - can you say "suspect, vindictive overkill"? An obvious example of the "throw enough cr*p at the wall, something will stick" school of law enforcement.
Hope he gets a good lawyer, but it looks like the publicity seeking rats are jumping ship real quickly. And, to be clear on this - if he's guilty, toss away the key.

Benn, it was in Aurora, not Denver, but Denver isn't much better - look at the case involving little Chandler.
No name, it is never a good thing to be a minority because the damned if you do / don't law falls in to place and the idiots (Sharpton, Jackson, Phillips) make it exceedingly hard for the rest of us.
Ron, you are dead on with that statement - even the police chief in Aurora and commenting defense attornneys said the same thing in today's article.

Um, benn and anyone else griping about Denver police handling of the Arone case:
Please get your facts straight before you launch into another tirade against Denver Police.
The Arone case is being handled by AURORA police.

They'd better have some real solid evidence like they found Aarone's body (and are hushing it up). Because if they dont, a good lawyer will have it thrown out of court

It's on the hush because they want to be able to have the trial here. No need to worry about any high dollar lawyers having it thrown out... this guy spent all his money at Mickey D's and is goin' straight public defender.
Pretty soon, our tax dollars will help in keeping his fat a$$ fed in the pen down south.

I am so happy the arrrested him. It appears a general amount of the public are ignorant to the fact that they don't need a body to convict and that is why no murder charges. You alway go with as many charges and allegations as you can and last but not least, they had a grand jury to decide whether or not there was enough evidence to proceed. Hopefully, unlike the Jon Bonet case Aurora PD took the time to uncover evidence that will make it stick. All we can do is hope that there is justice for Little Aarone.

I will never forget Aarone Thompson. I keep her picture (cut out from the paper) on a shelf with pictures of my other kids. What a messed up hand that kid was dealt. Too bad nobody cared until she was obviously dead. I hope Aaron Thompson and his nasty Shely like REALLY warm temperatures. Burn burn burn, Ms. Lowe...Good riddance to bad rubbish. The truth shall set you free, Mr. Thompson...God knows what happened, you sick, depraved excuse for a man. You will victimize that baby girl once again by refusing to let her sad little bones rest in peace...you know where she is and what happened to her...You sick, twisted hunk of waste.

To the DUMBASSES bitching about tax dollars: What if it was your little girl? Or your sister's baby, or someone else you deemed "worthy" enough? Just shut up, for God's sake. Shut up. This is what prisons are for, dumbasses. Be glad you've never had to be Aarone Thompson. Selfish whiny chicks.
