Summer vacations we've known and loved
Rocky fitness editor Lisa Ryckman recalls those family vacation in the family station wagon with the luggage strapped on top and your little brother getting car sick and depositing his lunch in your lap.
These days - if you can afford a road trip with gas inching up to $4 a gallon - families can choose from lots of gadgets, gizmos and fitness whatnots to pass the time and enjoy the outdoors.
Got any summer vacation stories to share? I have vague memories of dad buying a portable air conditioning system for the family Studebaker but it only spit out lukewarm air - and water droplets. I believe it was last seen leaving the car window at a high rate of speed as we motored towards Texas.
And there was our youngest who urped on the back seat of a two-week old car, then pronounced he felt a lot better. And who could forget slamming on the brakes and executing a U-turn when a child screamed, "I left Kermit at McDonald's!!!!!"
My favorite complaint about a sibling: "He's LOOKING at me!!!"

As a kid, the best invention was the sony walkman. Put that on and tune your siblings and your parents 70's easy listening music off.
Then there's dad lighting up a cancer stick on the 1/2 mark to keep his central nervous system alert. Man did our car smell like an ashtray, totally sucked. Oh, absolutely no belts were used.

Percocets and Oxycotins are my favorites.

I like meaningless sex filled vacations and then casually drop by the abortion clinic for a quick stick, poke and vacuum on the way back.

I can only travel to cities that broadcast Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on the radio.
That way, I know what to say and how I feel about things.
