Clinton's name to be placed in nomination at DNC
In a bid for party unity, Sen. Hillary Clinton's name will be placed in nomination for President at the Democratic National Convention, ABC News' Kate Snow reports.
"Both sides agree that it is in the best interest of party unity and making sure that everyone's voice and vote is honored to make sure her name is put into nomination," a person close the negotiations said. "It's to honor everyone who worked so hard on both sides."The two sides have been jockeying over how to win over Clinton supporters who were bitterly disappointed by her loss and the chance of seeing the first woman to win the presidential nomination of a major political party.
It is also apparent that Clinton is not being seriously considered as a running mate for Obama.
The deal to allow Clinton to be nominated is meant to help mollify those hurt feelings.

I think this is a good idea.
We don't want the emotional Democrats feelings hurt.
They are the party gift that keeps on giving.
This is much ado about nothing but giving Hillary supporters a group hug.
Barrack O' Carter the dictating messiah will still be the nominee.

What this is going to remind people of is how weak Obama is and that he STILL cannot close the deal on Hillary or McCain.

Rodham-Clinton fought for years for eqaulity and fairness and then Boom! All of the sudden everybody else was taking over, trying to fill-her-shoes and I guess alot of people had just decided We were'nt going to let this happen to her just because she was a Woman. Hell No!"

DON'T COUNT HILLARY OUT...
BUYER'S REMORSE is surging at the DNC. BO has yet to clear 50% in any poll and is tied with McC--they are sweating bigtime at DNC HQs. At this same comparable time, assclown Dukakis had over 50% and an 18% LEAD in the polls. And BO just had yet another bad week (almost as bad as Georgia), displaying weakness versus the seasoned McCain!
Hillary could pull the biggest political hijacking since Putin's vacation visit to Tilisi!

If the democrats don't come together and support Obama as they should (he did win the vote!) then we will have John McCain to lead the way. Cut the crap and start working together. Obama should consider Hillary as a running mate. That would be the best for the party. If McCain wins I am heading to Canada!

I guess this is why politics are so ridiculed today. It is all symbolism! Flag pins, being seen rolling up your sleeves when a disaster hits like you are doing hard work, this stuff @ the DNC...
If something like this does in fact help Clinton supporters getr over their hard feelings, then fine, I'm all for it...
...the cynical part of me knows this is nothing but a show and it means nothing. I wish the AMERICAN PEOPLE would vote for intelligent things like policy stands and such... Not on who looks the best in a pant-suit or what group of people are being used as a backdrop behind a canidate giving a speech.
Kinda shows how shallow many Americans are... seems we are such a "People Magazine" culture these days. No one has the ball to say what needs to be said or to stay "off message"... even if it is the right thing to do! Sound bites and photo ops seem to be enough for the slower ones among us. This is how we got G. W. Bush for Christ's sake!

It would be ironic to say the least if the Super Delegates changed their minds and their pledges to vote with so many who still feel that Hillary Clinton is a better match against McCain. Barack Obama is an outstanding candidate for the Presidency in 8 years. As great as he is, he lacks seasoning and experience. It's too bad really, that the nation has witnessed this time around three of the best candidates to run for president in eons. We'd probably be in a far, far different world right now had McCain been the president for the past 8 years, for example. My hat is off to all three for the willingness to try to pick up the pieces of our shattered economy, international reputation, and sullen national pride. These three are truly great Americans. The country will be better off with any of them in charge; but, deep down, there are a lot of us who still wish that the gender bias in our nation wasn't still even greater than the racial biases. At least we're not seeing ageism raise it's ugly head too.

Annie Oakley's name (Hillary) should only appear on a list of Iraq-NAM war criminals. This old bag of cellulite voted for Iraq-NAM because she thought it would make her look good in a presidential election. Hillary is just as big of a liar as Bill Clinton (perverted and warped cigar curer). Apples don't fall far the tree. When the stuff hit the fan in Iraq-NAM, Chelsea and the Bush twins (criminal illegal Mexicans document makers), collectively, hit the ski-slopes, saloons, shopping malls, college, etc. Thanks to our Iraq-NAM War criminals, a military draft is loomiong large and a GOP gift for Obama.

It would be fine to have Hillary be a keynote speaker at the DNC. But to have her name nominated for no other purpose then to bring more confrontation to the party is stupid. Hillary if she was smart would make a statement that says even though she appreciates what her supporter's thinks need to be done to show her just representation that it does nothing to resolve the Democratic fight against John McCain. All it does is pour more salt on the wounds and leave open sores. If Hillary would have been smart, and this was her plan all along once her and Bill left the Whitehouse she should have divorced him and moved on. She could have won the senate race for New York without him. Second, if she had been smart she never should have written the lies in her book about a number of things. I guess she never thought that it would come back to bite her in the ASS. Third, she should have made a statment about her (Ex-Husband) to once and for all close the door on the Monica situation. Fourth, she should have stuck to the economy and other main issues at home. Fifth, she should have come out and said that yes she supported the war but said that she along with the rest of the country was manipulated to go long with the WMD in Iraq theory. Sixth and the finally she should have put her foot down on her own campaign and made the hard decisions on how to defeat Obama instead of letting her staff works do that for her. If she can't even run her campaign the right way how can she even think she can lead this nation as its president.

What do you people and Mark Wolf not understand about tradition? This is just another attempt by the media and the neocons to make something out of nothing. The democrats are just following tradition. When Obama reaches the magic number, Hillary will then ask her delegates to support Obama just like what was done in many previous conventions. Get over it.

I was going to answer those cheap shots with a dig against the Republicans, but there are a growing number of Republicans that have had enough with the neocons dominating the party and are beginning to speak out. They are starting by endorsing Obama and getting rid of these hate mongers in order to reform the party.
