On this date, the San Diego Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins in overtime, 41-38, in the highest-scoring playoff game in NFL history. The visiting Chargers were led by a pair of future Hall of Famers -- quarterback Dan Fouts (433 yards and three TD passes) and tight end Kellen Winslow. Winslow caught 13 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. He also blocked Miami's potential game-winning field goal at the end of regulation.
