Who's No. 1?
Would you choose University of Texas quarterback Vince Young over Southern California's Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush with the NFL's No. 1 pick overall?
There is too much hype, too much buzz going around, and not enough clear thinking. There is no way I would take Vince Young. No way. One great game, a player does not make. He is a fantastic physical specimen. He will be exciting. But I don't think he is an NFL Championship caliber quarterback. No way. Reggie Bush? Fantastic. Exciting. The next Barry Sanders. O.K. I agree. But can he get the tough yards on 3rd and short? I dont think so. Dances around too much, looking for the big play. If I'm gonna spend that sick kind of money for a number one pick, I want LenDale White. Smash mouth football. This guy can pound the rock all day long. He can bust one open. He can get the tough yards. White is a guy that i see having a long nfl career, being a great running back carrying the load game in and game out. As a realist, I'm hoping that Denver will go ahead and pick up LenDAle White to carry the load, Reggie Bush as a change of pace back, about 15 carries a game, and heck, might as well go ahead and pick up Matt Leinart, while we're at it. I see good things for the Broncos if they follow my plan. bRiLLiAnT!
