Shaq and Kobe: Reunited and it feels so ... weird
You're getting some of what's on my mind because bloggers apparently fall under the heading with postal carriers -- you deliver regardless of rain, sleet, snow or vacation. So read up ...
Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal shared the NBA All-Star Game's Most Valuable Player award on the Sunday after Valentine's Day. Guess Forrest Gump was right about that box of chocolates ...
The Los Angeles Lakers can win the NBA title this season without Shaq. The Phoenix Suns could miss the playoffs with the "Big Front-runner" (yeah, that's what I dubbed him after last year's trade to Phoenix from Miami). You can bet deep inside, O'Neal wishes he could return to L.A., win one more ring this season and think about calling it quits ...
Don't mean to pour sour milk on your Frosted Flakes, but the Nuggets are not going to win the NBA title this season. Not with this current roster. But Nugget Fan is used to settling for less, so be happy with winning a playoff series, maybe even two. Nothing is more fulfilling than saying, 'At least we made it to the Western Conference finals.' Nothing -- unless you're into winning gold championship trophies ...
I guess that last bit could've been shortened to read, "If the Nuggets don't get a legitimate backcourt player to pair with Chauncey Billups, and a big man who actually contributes off the bench, they're not going far in the postseason." ...
The Rockies are starting spring training, and the Rocky has a poll asking which pitcher will win the job as a fifth starter. Sorry, but seeing a bunch guys who got lit like Christmas trees last season (Jason Hirsch not included 'cause he was out ALL season) do nothing for me. That said, I'm rooting for Franklin Morales ...
Whatever happened to the NHL team in Denver, and how is it that they keep beating the Detroit Red Wings? ...
Alex Rodriguez admitted to using steroids. And I want to know the names of others on the list -- not because I'm nosey, but because we should know which players have been signing for mega-millions by putting up stats inflated from use of performance enhancing substances. They cheated the public, baseball and the record books - and got paid handsomely for it. That said, I'm still not sure the puffed-up hitters didn't slam home runs off pumped-up pitchers. Do steroids cloud the vision of the strike zone? ...

Instead of being called the the "Big Aristotle" or the "Big Cactus" the way Shaq played and the energy he exhibited he should now be called the "Big Ponce DeLeon". If he did not look 10 years younger I wasn't born in NJ! Be it superficial or genuine it is nice to see both he and Kobe seemingly have put the past to rest and have both grown up a bit in doing so. As always the media was not entirely blameless in the perception and reporting. I remember like it was yesterday when they fabricated and perpetuated a feud between Magic and Bird. Nothing could have been further from the truth. They will be forever liked not only by their simultaneous arrival and the salvaging of the league that was in shambles at the time with the infestation of drug use, but their endearing friendship as well.

Sam,
I think your right on with the Nuggets. Unfortunately I don't think they have the assets that it would take to get more dependable shooting guard and solid big man off the bench. They need to have some of that San Antonio Spur luck where a free agent or player who has been bought out will sign with them for cheap. That's why losing McDyess still stings. I love the way Kenyon Martin is playing, I just think he is a 5-7 million a year player and not what he actually gets. The lack of salary cap flexibility has prevented them from using first round picks and imroving their roster that way.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Gerd, sometimes known as gastro-esophageal reflux disease, or GERD, arises because of the coexistence of two problems. The 1st acid reflux disease contributing condition is a retrograde flow of stomach contents into the esophagus. Though, the reflux itself does not always contribute to gastro-esophageal reflux disease warning signs or histologic changes, and can occur among in shape people as well. In this situation, the process is referred to as "physiologic gastroesophageal reflux".
