Major feats lie ahead in Woods comeback

If I hadn't witnessed the greatness up close with my own eyes, I probably wouldn't give Tiger Woods much chance for a successful defense of his Accenture Match Play championship this week in Arizona.

Not after an eight-month layoff. Not with a surgically-repaired left knee. Not with at least 100 zillion eyeballs watching his every move starting with today's match against unheralded Australian Brendan Jones.

Former Bronco in need of assistance

Broncos fans so passionate about the physical and financial well-being of today's players might want to take a few seconds to heed the call of a former team member.

Remember running back Rick Parros? He was drafted by the Broncos in 1980, gaining a team-high (and career-high) 749 yards rushing in '81.

Today I learned that Parros, who turns 51 years old in June, is suffering from a life-threatening neurological disorder. Doctors believe he is need of a stem cell procedure in Germany.

Shaq and Kobe: Reunited and it feels so ... weird

You're getting some of what's on my mind because bloggers apparently fall under the heading with postal carriers -- you deliver regardless of rain, sleet, snow or vacation. So read up ...

Who screwed up my game?

For me, today, this Presidents Day Monday feels like old times. Really old times.

Sitting in the bedroom of my childhood home, peering out the window at snow falling in Cleveland while the Indians hold spring training in sunny Arizona. The aroma of Momma's breakfast cooking in the kitchen. Standing six feet tall in a bathroom while trying not to bump my head on the ceiling.
