Rapids' O'Brien picked for London tour

Colorado Rapids midfielder Ciaran O'Brien has been named to a group of 16 young MLS players who will go on an eight-day trip to London as part of the annual Generation adidas overseas tour.

The tour will include three matches against English Premier League reserve teams, training at the Chelsea Academy and tickets to an EPL match and a Champions League match between Chelsea and CFR Cluj Napoca.

Coaching the squad will be San Jose's Frank Yallop, who will be assisted by Ian Russell.

The players, all part of Generation adidas, will arrive in London on Saturday and are scheduled to return to the United States on Dec. 14.
