Dynamite hosts Stockton on Saturday in Parker

The Denver Dynamite hosts the Stockton Cougars, who will be gunning for their first division championship, at 9:15 p.m. Saturday at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Drive in Parker.

The Cougars can win the Professional Arena Soccer League's Western Division with a victory Saturday. The Dynamite, with a victory over the Cougars and two victories in their next two games, could wrap up the division if the Cougars lose their final game.

The Dynamite (7-6) is two and a half games behind the Cougars (10-4).

The Cougars beat the Dynamite 15-5 on Nov. 22 at the Stockton Arena.

The Dynamite has not played a match since defeating Colorado 9-6 on Jan. 31. Saturday's match is the team's only scheduled game in February.

A Stockton win would give the Cougars a first-round bye in the league tournament, which begins March 13 at Stockton Arena. The Cougars already have qualified for the six-team tournament. The other team that has qualified so far is 1790 Cincinnati.

The remaining spots will be made up of one Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League team, two teams from Liga Mexicana de Futbol Rapido and one PASL wild card.
