Risks of HPV vaccine are unknown

By Susan Pearce. Wolf, Wyo.
Currently, parents are being urged to consider the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine for their young daughters. This expensive vaccine has neither been adequately tested nor proven to be effective for young girls.
The HPV vaccine, Gardasil, contains 225 mcg of aluminum. For decades, vaccines have contained aluminum adjuvants, but clinical trials never tested such adjuvants for safety. Animal and human studies have shown that aluminum can cause nerve cell death and that vaccine aluminum adjuvants can allow aluminum to enter the brain and can lead to fatigue and chronic joint and muscle pain. http://www.nvic.org/PressReleases/pr62706gardasil.htm
Barbara Loe Fisher was a member of the FDA Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee in 2001. Fisher stated in the above 2006 press release, “There is too little long term safety and efficacy data, especially in young girls, . Nobody at Merck, the CDC or FDA know[S] if the injection of Gardasil into all pre-teen girls - especially simultaneously with hepatitis B vaccine - will make some of them more likely to develop arthritis or other inflammatory autoimmune and brain disorders as teenagers and adults.”
The package insert states, “GARDASIL has not been evaluated for the potential to cause carcinogenicity or genotoxicity.” http://www.fda.gov/cber/label/hpvmer013007LB.pdf Clayton Young, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., stated, “Currently no vaccine has ever been examined for possible carcinogenic, mutagenic, or teratogenic effects, and yet the pharmaceutical industry stands ready to add Gardasil to the list of vaccines mandated for school admission.” http://www.vaccineinfo.net/immunization/vaccine/hpv/doc—against—HPV.shtml
Young stated, “The vaccine only ‘protects’ against 4 high risk HPV subtypes. We are currently screening for 15 ‘high risk’ HPV subtypes. This may lead to an increase in infection with other and possibly more aggressive subtypes. ... The study of the vaccine in children and adolescents is limited to only measuring the development of antibodies to the HPV subtypes in the vaccine.
There is absolutely no evidence that the vaccine prevents anything when administered at this young age. Merck expects you to extrapolate their adult data to the immune response in children. If they were really interested in vaccine efficacy in children, should it not be studied properly in children? Vaccinating children for this or any other sexually transmitted infection is not without risk.”
Barbara Loe Fisher, president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), stated in a February 1, 2007, press release, “GARDASIL safety appears to have been studied in fewer than 2,000 girls aged 9 to 15 years and it is unclear how long they were followed up. ... the reality is that almost all cases of HPV-associated cervical cancer can be prevented with annual pap screening of girls who are sexually active.” http://www.909shot.com/PressReleases/pr020107HPV.htm
In the same press release, NVIC Health Policy Analyst Vicky Debold, RN, Ph.D., stated, “The most frequent serious health events after GARDASIL shots are neurological symptoms, ... These young girls are experiencing severe headaches, dizziness, temporary loss of vision, slurred speech, fainting, involuntary contraction of limbs (seizures), muscle weakness, tingling and numbness in the hands and feet and joint pain. . The manufacturer product insert should include mention of syncopal [FAINTING]episodes, seizures and Guillain-Barre Syndrome so doctors and parents are aware these vaccine adverse responses have been associated with the vaccine.”

Posted by uhczrsyjg jufex on July 12, 2007 02:20 PMI find it appalling at how hard vaccines are pushed upon our children, as if they are no more than guinea pigs. I feel it is obvious that our children’s health is not the priority of Merck or any other vaccine manufacturer. It is irresponsible to put out a vaccine like Gardasil without rigorous testing and proof of the vaccine's efficacy. It remains to be seen how damaging the side effects can be from the HPV vaccine and unfortunately our daughters will be the ones who will find out.

When I wrote my "Speakout" letter about HPV vaccine, I thought it was clear I hoped people would choose not to use it. I do not want people to mess with the natural processes that our Creator put into our bodies. Please see www.vaclib.org. -Susan Pearce, Wyoming Vaccine Information Network
As Len Horowitz once said, "Support Vaccination! The world needs less fools!"
Let all these idiots who believe in vacccines get them. They'll get to suffer for their own foolish mistakes.
Posted by JD on March 21, 2007 07:33 AMVaccines don't work. They irreparably harm the immune system. I haven't checked in a few years, but the last time I did vaccines were classified as immuno-suppresants. In other words, they suppress the immune system. How? By stimulating only one part of it and suppressing the other. The result is an immune system that needs constant attention.
Susan Pierce: why don't you face reality instead of messing with the natural order.
Posted by rb on March 21, 2007 05:47 AMPer a professor of genetics, the antibodies formed when the HPV vaccine enters the body, also go after human nervous systems cells which are identical in structure to the HPV (human papilloma virus). 675 micrograms of reactive aluminum are contained in the 3-shot series. Aluminum is a known neuro-toxin w/1 mcg. considered highly toxic. This is why girls/women are experiencing severe and debilitating side effects. 17 girls, who were involved in clinical trials, have died, which Merck is claiming are unrelated. 85% of 1200 girls in clinical trials have experienced serious effects such as asthma, myalgia, rheumatoid/juvenile arthritis, seizures, loss of consciousness and Guillain-Barre. Lawsuits have begun against Merck and will continue until this vaccine is pulled from the market. Unfortunately, thousands of girls will have continuing side effects w/permanent disability as a result.
Merck has funded Women in Gov't, to an estimated $5 million dollars. Sen. Suzanne Williams of CO is a member of this group and sponsor of SB 80, which is now deadlocked and hopefully killed. How convenient for Merck to have our tobacco money pay for their "free advertising." They are rushing this vaccine to market as Glaxco-Smith-Kline is close on their heels w/their own HPV vaccine. Also Merck is on the hook to the IRS for $2.3 billion in unpaid taxes due to sheltering profits in offshore accts. Also, they have lost an estimated 27% in revenue due to continuing Vioxx lawsuits wherein 26,000 people have died and thousands more have had heart attacks. They stand to make appx. $4 billion a year w/this HPV (help pay for Vioxx) vaccine.
Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2007 11:03 PMVaccines at their core carry inherent risks that are generally ignored by those setting vaccination policy or mandating vaccinations. The fact that Merck is the manufacter and biggest promoter of the (Help Pay for Vioxx) HPV vaccine, should be enough for every parent to question whether any of their studies are sound and certainly of questionable integrity.

Posted by on March 6, 2007 10:50 AM2 more minutes of Googling Susan Pearce reveals her agenda:
"Vaccination does away with God's methods of ridding the body of these pathogens... When people decide to place their faith in man's means of disease prevention instead of in God and the beautiful, efficient immune system He created for us, they needn't be shocked to discover the damage they have done to the human race. "
In the 2 seconds it took me to skim this article, I already picked out the typical slander of the anti-Gardasil movement.
“The vaccine only ‘protects’ against 4 high risk HPV subtypes. We are currently screening for 15 ‘high risk’ HPV subtypes. This may lead to an increase in infection with other and possibly more aggressive subtypes."
These 4 subtypes cause 70% of cervical cancers and 90% of genital warts. If everyone were vaccinated with Gardasil, thirty years from now the distribution of high risk types will obviously be different, but the number of cervical cancers will be much smaller.
Who's against that?
While the risks associated with Gardisil may be unknown, the risks of having cervical cancer are known all too well.
Posted by DC on March 6, 2007 08:31 AMAlthough Ms Pearce makes apparently good arguments many of us will be unable to understand exactly what she has said due to the technical nature of her statements. The gist of this is that there are dangers inherent in this vaccine and parents need to be cautious about having their 9 year old daughter (or 10, 11, 12 etc year old daughter) be vaccinated with Gardisil. Other technical articles also seem to state that there is a possibility of birth defects resulting from this vaccine. These effects are unknown since the tests that were done did not deal with young women long enough to study any births to women who had been given the vaccine.
