Greetings from 'Mount Yepsen'

Greetings from Mount Yepsen.bmp

Hillary reads his blog. Or, she has to say so, anyway.

In Iowa, the Des Moines Register's political guru, David Yepsen, is one of those prolific writers that candidates can't afford to offend. He has been covering the Iowa caucuses for more than a quarter century, and so, as one writer points out, candidates joke about going to Iowa to "pay homage at Mount Yepsen.”

Today, we got a chance to chip away at him during a LIVE CHAT at Rocky Talk Live with Mark Wolf.

For a full transcript, go HERE.

* Is there room for former Vice President Al Gore in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination? Yepsen says: "No."

* Who's winning the war of words between former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain? It's Romney, Yepsen says.

* What happens to Iowa now that so many other states are moving up their presidential primary contests? The first-in-the-nation caucus state becomes even more important, Yepsen asserts.

Decisive takes as always. Offer your own in the COMMENTS section.

Meanwhile, watch Mark's site on Wednesday, because we've scheduled another LIVE CHAT with the bombastic entrant in the Democratic field, former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel.
