The supersized campaign
You might have seen the news item on Monday about the latest scientific study.
As WebMD summarizes it:
"Whether it's french fries or carrots, preschoolers say food tastes better when it comes in a McDonald's wrapper."
Does the same go for presidential candidates? We'll see.
Today, Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter has scheduled "meet-and-greet" stops at McDonald's restaurants in SIX Iowa towns: Ankeny, Ames, Webster City, Fort Dodge, Storm Lake and Le Mars.
The McStrategy might make sense for Hunter, whose San Diego-area congressional district was once home to the late McDonald's founder, Ray Kroc.
But it raises a question for the guest political analyst who has stopped by our Des Moines bureau this week and was first to point out the fast-food strategy.
"Is he trying to catch the vote of people who only read menus off walls?"
Good question, Mom.
Would you like fries with that.

Roni Bell,
Politicians have been known to change their styles on whims.
But are you saying that this is your dream ticket?

If the pres candidates aren't glued to "America's Got Talent", they should be.
The candidate who's most like the AGT winner, will win in November `08.
Other packaging littering the campaign trail are the wrappings from 15 second sound bites.
