The case is far from "solved." There's still a lot of work for all the law enforcement agencies involved to provide proof of Karr's guilt. As far as the tabloids/talk shows go, they'll get material out of this development for weeks or months. I doubt they're flying at half mast yet.

Oh, brother. I never entertained this Karr fellow as being the perp for five seconds yesterday - way before we knew anything about what a fruitloop he is. Why? Because the parents did it. Patsy Ramsey wrote the ransom letter. THEY are the perps.

Let's see: John Karr was in contact with Patsy Ramsey, before her death, and has information that the police never released... but claims he did things to her, drugged, that didn't happen (autopsy report). Seems like he just shared insider information he got from Patsy...

Hey Mary Lacy - why don't you get a clue and go after the REAL perps - the Ramsey's. What a "patsy" you are (pun intended)!

Thank You, CA Arnie! Anyone with brains and who knows anything about this case knows the parents did it! So, I guess that leaves out Mary Lacy - what a pity as she's the D.A. Right, OJ didn't do it, either!

I can't believe how people rush to judgements and have falsely accused Patsy R. My god,,,,there is evidence that this man,,,Karr,,,commited the crime. Its like people don't want to accept it that perhaps someone else besides the Ramseys killed their daughter. To the person that said that Patsy did it and is in H. yeah I agree,,she is in Heaven but she didnt do it. READ before you all start posting your remarks,,,,,READ THE FACTS. They have DNA now that points toward a stranger, and away from the Ramseys,,,,,they have foot prints,,,THEY HAVE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE!!! and speaking of heaven,,,,antiarch? judge not least ye be judged. I don't know who did it but I do know what I read bout the outside intruder. If your going to form an opinon at least read both sides,,,,,,,N.Boyden,Salem,Missouri

There is no convincing physical evidence. The speck of DNA is non-sexual and probably came from a cough/sneeze from a person hovering over JB's body in Boulder after John Ramsey "found" (!) her and brought her upstairs. It will not match Karr and Karr has said as much lately. The DNA speck is a red herring. Also, they don't have "footprintS," they have a footprint which could easily be anybody's (male) who has ever entered that basement room. In addition, Karr's handwriting won't match the ransom letter because Patsy wrote the ransom letter. She is the doer, she and John, probably covering up for Burke who brained his sister with a fatal blow.

John Ramsey is laughing in his socks right now. His presence is practically invisible throughout this fiasco as he knows Karr is not guilty.

I hardly doubt if John Ramsey is laughing right now,,,after losing two daughters, a wife, and being falsely accused of killing his youngest daughter.First of all,the ""speck"" of DNA points towards another person besides the Ramseys,,,what bout the open window? Look at the handwriting from the year book and the ransom note,,,any one could see they look alike. I don't know if this Karr man did it or not,,NO BODY DOES,,,but now there has been another person with tapes,,,of him talking about the murder where he puts himself as the murderer. The Ramseys didn't do it. Look at this man's past,,how many jobs did he lose because of inappropriate behavior with his students? his first wife left him because she was scared of him,,one little boy he had as a student was so scared of him that he ,,well he had an accident,,whether or not he did it or not,,I am glad they got this man away from children ,,I don't understand why people WANT the Ramseys to be guilty of this crime. I don't get it.

Newsflash: Nobody "wants" the Ramsey's to be guilty of killing their daughter. But, if they are they are, and they are! (guilty). I don't believe you have read any of the many books published about this case. If you have, which ones? Today Karr's brother Nate has said if Karr hadn't appeared at the 1996 family Christmas it would have been a "family scandal," and as such would be remembered. I agree with him. You'll see, Nina - at some point in the future it will be determined that Karr is NOT the perp.

Let's see .... a 6-year-old girl is reported missing 10 years ago in Boulder. There is a 3-page ransom note found by the mother which names the father, knows he lived previously in the south, and asks for ransom (luckily asking for the amount of his year-end bonus, which is not a round number). Hours after the reported "kidnapping," the girl's body is found in a small room in the home's basement by the father (after previoulsy being checked by a family friend, who said he could not see the body because the room was dark). The girl was killed by a blow to her head and then her body staged as if she was strangled and tortured. Even with botched police work, the first obvious question is how could a "stanger/intruder" know a family member's name and his finances and why would he/they take time in a strange home to stage a false murder scene and write a pointless 3-page ransom note?
And now a 41-year-old man obcessed with the case is arrested (stemming from e-mail exchanges with a University of Colorado journalism professor who has never actually worked as a journalist and who made a documentary falsely accusing another man of committing the crime), a man whom family members and attorneys say is mentally ill and was in ALABAMA at the time of the crime. Case closed?

Good post, bottjer. Of course Karr didn't do it. It's incredible and pathetic that such a mentally disturbed individual has got LE wrapped around his pinky. And that so much time and money are being wasted, utterly wasted, on a red herring. Meanwhile, both John Ramsey and OJ continue their search for the "real killer." What a joke all of this is.
