Mr. Temple, how long do you intend to keep pimping your recent "labor of love"? The series planted a wet kiss on the military, yes. Why is that so commendable? It's not difficult for a reporter to tag along with an officer who reports death to families. It's not difficult to put these maudlin scenes into what you call journalism. Yet it is difficult to write such stories with clear eyes and sober mind -- something your reporter, in his cliche-ridden prose, could not accomplish.
Here's a suggestion for a worthwhile story: What local companies are profiting from this war? Who are their officers, and how have they contributed to political candidates? Many people are growing rich off the Iraq war. Some of them live in Denver. Who are they?
Knowing the Rocky Mountain News, as it presently exists, I won't be expecting answers there. Or, sadly, in the so-called competition.

Perhaps "Rags" could be a stand up guy/gal and reciprocate with his/her real name and who they contribute to and from where their contributee gets their money. Thank you.
